Our Services

Conflict resolution products

With the individual safety component
Safety Control
solutions in the
area of entirety of machines
and old machines are created,
which are unique
on the market.

The person who assumes the manufacturer's responsibility for an entirety usually assumes
responsibilities that lie outside the physical scope of delivery
and whose influence on machine safety
is not or only insufficiently given.

The one who
makes changes
collides with the subject matter to the substantial change
if the consequences are not proportionate.

Compliance for machine safety

With a transparent
structure for all
departments and
parties concerned,
a practicable and legally compliant machinery is ensured from manufacture to scrapping.
Through integration of existing procedures and consideration of economic proportionality, extensive economic advantages are achieved.

We are happy to advise you on

at the right time
and to optimise acceptance procedures.

We advise you on the
way to use leeway to avoid
disproportionate
requirements,

which we understand
as one of our
core competences.

Assumption of responsibility

Revealing findings is only
half the battle.
We accompany you all the way to conclusion, including recommendations for measures,
and are not afraid to take responsibility.

Our focus is on the functional safety of
interlinked machines
and systems, as well as
retrofitting
and the
integration
of incomplete machines, old machines and other
components.

We not only take responsibility for our test results,
but also, in consultation
also that of the
authorised representative
according to the Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC or that of the
integrator
according to DIN EN ISO 11161.

Authorised representative & Integrator

Safe machinery or equipment is important for the person in charge,

1. Evidence of the required procedure carried out
2. The required technical documentation with associated training courses
3. Verification and validation evidence
4. The transparency and awareness of the area of responsibility

Support during the contract phase

Early clarification of areas of responsibility, documentation requirements and protection concepts ensure a smooth project flow. This can create a fair platform for manufacturers and operators, thus avoiding project delays during acceptance and high modification costs.
These points should also be included in the tender specifications and performance specifications during the purchasing process.
We will be pleased to support you in this.

Interlinking & Integration

In the case of interlinking and integration, there is often confusion at the different parties involved as to which requirements the documentation must fulfil and how areas of responsibility can be clarified.

We will be able to help you with this problem by providing an integration assessment. It is used for hazard identification in the area of "interlinking of machinery". The integration assessment takes into account the requirements resulting from the EC Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC (Machinery Directive) for the consideration of interlinking.
Only when the integration assessment shows that a "assembly of machinery" exists, a complete conformity procedure must be initiated.
Considerations regarding interlinking are based on DIN EN ISO 11161 and DIN EN ISO 12100.
If there is no need to draw up an EC-conformity procedure, hazards nevertheless arise that must be dealt with in accordance with the Ordinance on Industrial Safety and Health (BetrSichV).
In this case, the interfaces and their hazards were verifiably considered by means of the integration assessment. Thus, the protection goals of the integration were verifiably achieved according to the legal requirements, and the workplaces were considered and documented as safe in all phases of the machine's life.

In the case of retrofitting or modifications, the question often arises which documentation is required, or even whether the machine must pass through a new EC-conformity procedure. A good tool here is the risk assessment. It allows to evaluate whether new hazards have arisen at all as a result of a conversion and whether a "significant change" has occurred.

If the risk assessment shows that there is no "significant change" it can be used as an applicable document.
If it is a "significant change", the complete machine or assembly must be rebuilt according to the current state of the art and an EC-conformity procedure according to the Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC must be carried out, upon completion of which a CE marking is applied.

Risk assessment

The risk assessment is part of a conformity procedure according to the requirements of DIN EN ISO 12100 and can also be used for risk analysis in the case of interlinked machinery and the evaluation of modifications to existing machinery.

Risk assessment is based on hazard identification. With practice-oriented discussions in your company, or with documents provided, we will get an overview of the machine/system. Our aim is that the risk assessment process is more than just a necessary load to be carried, but that it offers you a significant added value. Correct implementation enables to identify problems at an early stage and residual risks can be communicated between operator and manufacturer for, what prevents expensive conversion costs and annoying delays in acceptance.

Verification & Validation
functional safety

Verification according to EN ISO 13849-1

A further point of the required CE documentation is the computational proof of the functional safety of a machine.

We will be pleased to support you in the design of safety functions and take over the verification according to DIN EN ISO 13849-1 for you using the software tool SISTEMA provided by the DGUV.

Validation according to EN ISO 13849-2

In addition to verification, we also offer the validation of functional safety according to EN ISO 13849-2.
Irrespective of the documentation to be supplied, the manufacturer must at all times provide evidence of the functional safety tests according to EN ISO 13849-2. For this purpose, the effort for verification EN ISO 13849-1 (e.g. with the SISTEMA tool) must be done in advance.

We will also be able to take over the validation of the functional safety for you. To be available to you for the acceptance of safety robots (KUKA / ABB), we have also completed appropriate qualification courses.
